About emh connect &
Elaine Hendry

I am a freelance consultant with broad experience of education, business and government, and the ability to make connections between all three.

I have expertise in qualitative research, policy development, stakeholder management and communications, and professional and organisational learning, as well as an excellent understanding of the complex education and training landscape.

My background includes a period as a senior civil servant working on education, skills and employment policy, as well as a variety of roles in the private, academic, not-for-profit and public sectors.

I undertake small-scale projects including evaluation, desk research, policy briefing, workshop facilitation and event organisation and reporting. Projects might take a few hours, several weeks or run over many months.

What all my clients have in common is a need for somebody who understands the environment they are working in, can get to grips quickly with their needs, can think strategically but plan in detail, and will focus rigorously on outcomes.

I am also a qualified proofreader and an Associate of the Society for Editors & Proofreaders (SfEP).
